Long-distance wedding plans

My niece, Jennifer Nalus, will marry in January, 2010. I was so excited when he asked me to help plan her wedding. Marriage is in the Philippines and I am in California, which is a little challenge. All the wedding vendors in the U.S. and I am not familiar with wedding vendors in the Philippines. However, the talented brother-in-law and my other nephew to help their sisters, all working well. Jenny's wedding planning coming together.

Black and white wedding colors
Jenny chose a black and white as her wedding colors. She and her bridesmaids will wear white clothes. Bridesmaids will have a black coating on the black dress while MOH will use the same design with a white coating. The bridegroom will wear a black barong tagalog. Barong tagalog is a native of formal clothing. Flower girl will carry the black and white basket filled with white petals and the ring bearer will carry the black and white ring pillow.

The reception will be held at the elegant Shangri-La Hotel with 200 guests. Tables and chairs will be covered with fabric accented with black and white plates and white napkins. White pillar candle decorated with a white bow, white silk flowers and pearls will be the main center. White rose petals and silver-wrapped chocolate kiss will be scattered around the center to provide a colorful contrast to the black table. Pillar candles will also be surrounded by funny wedding candles.

Wedding dresses, flowers and cakes
Jenny chose a local designer, Olan Roque, to design her wedding dress, and I say this looks great! Wedding gown made by Mikado silk and chiffon with hand cut beads and stones sewn into the neck strap. The wedding bouquet, the bride will carry red roses, her favorite flower, decorated with stephanotis. Bridesmaids and MOH who will bring white Calla lilies wrapped in black and white satin handle.

White wedding cake decorated with flowing red roses and black ribbon. Bride doll replica will be added to the bottom cake layer. I was told that the cake was designed and will be made by one of Jenny's friends. It looks great!
